Breakfast Club

Hot off the press ... Glen Innes School kids are now back from the Sports Camp ... they won Boys and Girls Volleyball; Girls Hockey; Wallball; Petangue, Foosball, Softball, Darts. They came second overall losing only 3 of the 15 semifinals for which they qualified. The whole week has to be put down not only to the talent of the children (and teachers) but also their fitness ... thanks to the training with support from Corporates such as New World Eastridge, Hubbards; Shoe Clinic; Sharine Burns; Direct Sport and Auckland East Rotary. Special thanks to Creative Communities, Glen Innes for sponsoring the tee shirts each day. Thanks also to Simon O'Connor for your support. ... See MoreSee Less

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club drove down to Totara Springs, Matamata yesterday to be with the Glen Innes kids at their Sports Camp ... what a day. In 2017 this school reached 5 semi finals ... in 2018 they reached 16. One thought was that the children are so much fitter thanks to the training regime the School started this year with the Bay 2 Bay run and the attitude of the teachers, namely Victor Du Toit, Chelsea Donaldson and Maude Mihikiterangi Thomas. We were especially blown away by the Volleyball girls; hockey girls; Foosball team - who won the final. One proud headmaster Jonathan 'n Sherron Hendricks ... thanks also to Coach Paul Collins for the time he has put in to these kids. ... See MoreSee Less
