Sports Academy

The Sports Academy was set up in 2013 at Randwick Park School with the financial support of Rotary Epsom.  The aim was to work on the sporting strengths of the students and enable them to participate in events that they were precluded participating in the past, and also to experience sporting ventures financially out of their reach.  Thirty children were selected each year for this Academy.  Forty two applied in 2013 and 84 in 2014.  They have visited the Blues Rugby, Breakers Basketball, Les Mills Gyms, Silver Ferns and Vodafone Warriors.  One of the students in 2014 was seen playing at the AIMS Games in Tauranga and was offered a full scholarship to attend St Kentigern College in 2015.  This is the first time this has happened in the 16 years this school has existed.
