Christmas Banquet

In 2013 we were told that some of the families at Glen Innes School did not celebrate Christmas due to financial restraints.  A decision was made to put on a Christmas Banquet for 250 invited guests and once this was made public funding for the entire event was received in three weeks.

Every family went home with a Grocery Hamper, Dessert Hamper, Presents for every child, Sweets for everyone and fours litre containers filled with turkey and lamb.  The success of this event has meant that in 2014 we doubled the invitation list and are putting on lunch and dinner for 600.
