On 30th April Barfoot & Thompson invited 10 students at Glen Innes School to be part of the ‘Beat Dan Carter’ event at Eden Park.
The concept was that Dan Carter would kick goals for 60 minutes and set a standard that others would try and beat with funds going to UNICEF.
The ten children were selected from Year 7 and 8 of boys and girls that have shown deservedness of such an honour.
Dan Carter made our children feel a million dollars. He sat down with them over lunch and signed rugby balls (and boots) for all of those present, and held conversation with them all.
The children then went on to the #1 Eden Park ground and supported Dan for 60 minutes while he kicked 273 goals. They did not hesitate to yell out support when required.
