For several years now Breakfast Club in partnership with the Glen Innes Police and Glen Innes, Glen Taylor Schools run the Police Qualifying distance (2.4km) from Mission Bay to St Heliers Bay. This years run was on the 8th of March.
Each year we organize three Fun Runs, and this is the first. The second is up Mt Wellington Maunga and the last one is from Pakuranga Yacht Club to St Kentigern College.
The children run in groups of 20 with one or two Police members running with them. Volunteers are stationed every 500 metres.
This year we also invited Ruapotaka School to attend.
At the end of the run all children are invited to a BBQ put on by Police staff at Glen Innes.
All costs (bus travel, water and BBQ) for this event is paid by Polymers Limited
