One of the things we noticed on our first visits to our new school in Glen Innes was that none of the children had any proper shoes, if they had any on at all. This was at the start of winter and we knew that we had to try and help with this as soon as possible.
I know that the weather is beautiful today in Auckland. But over the last few rainy days the staff here at breakfast club have been happy knowing that the children at Glen Innes school have Dry Feet. They have now received brand new shoes and socks thanks to our sponsors and facebook followers .
We even had a lovely person send us 25 pairs of socks all the way from the Hawkes Bay.
It is simple things like this that can make a big difference to the kids that we are helping. We all know how hard it is to work and concentrate with cold feet. Now they can walk to school with their new school shoes and hopefully with their heads held that little bit higher.
